Sandy Ridge Road / Pleasant Ridge Road Feasibility Study Public Workshop
The Greensboro Department of Transportation (GDOT) will be conducting a public workshop to involve area residents and motorists in determining the feasibility of future roadway improvements to Sandy Ridge Road from I-40 to West Market Street and to Pleasant Ridge Road from West Market Street to NC 68.
The workshop will be held in the Colfax Elementary School Media Center, located at 9112 West Market Street, from 4 to 7 PM on Tuesday, January 12, 2010. GDOT staff and consultant will be available to discuss issues, answer questions and receive comments.
Information presented will be posted at www.greensboro-nc.gov/GDOT following the workshop.
The public comment period for this workshop will conclude on February 12, 2010.

NOTICE OF A CITIZENS INFORMATIONAL WORKSHOP FOR THE PROPOSED NC 68 CONNECTOR (FUTURE I-73) FROM SR 2133 (PLEASANT RIDGE ROAD) TO THE EXISTING INTERSECTION OF NC 68 AND US 220 (TIP Project No. R-2413 A&B Guilford County)
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will hold the above Citizens Informational Workshop on Thursday, January 14, 2010, between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria of Northwest High School, located at 5420 Northwest School Road, Greensboro.
Interested individuals may attend this workshop at their convenience during the above stated hours. The purpose of this workshop is for NCDOT representatives to provide information, answer questions, and accept written comments regarding this project. Please note there will be no formal presentation.
NCDOT proposes to construct a four-lane, divided controlled-access highway on new location between NC 68 and US 220. This new roadway will also serve as the future I-73 corridor. The project is about 13 miles in length on both new location and widening of existing location. The Citizens Informational Workshop is being held to provide the public an opportunity to participate in the planning process. Comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.
